Access to Larig Ghru

Is it possible to be dropped off by car at Derry lodge or at some point along the road between there and the car park at Linn of Dee.

Only if you have a key to the usually locked gate at the end of the road.

derry lodge is 4.5 easy km from Linn of Dee. In the grand scheme of things; doesn't make much of a difference :D

This is one of the best (if not the best) walk-ins in this country, with the views of the Cairngorms gradually unfolding, often with herds of deer on river flats and the sight of the pinewoods at Derry Lodge. Even if I could get a lift, I would always walk it, as I have done many times.

That's what I was thinking too. Whats 4.5km's when you are criss-crossing the Cairngorms anyway...
