Having a new house is a blessing ................but a curse to build ,as it keeps you very busy and off the hill for the large part of the Winter !

Tha i deisel an drasda agus nach eil e fad air falbh bho Gleann Sron an t Sithein is duthaich Aird nan Gobhair .

She is finished now and i am " fortanach " to be right on the doorstep of Sgurr Dhomhnuill ,Garbh Bheinn and a rake of Ardgour /Sunart Corbetts and Grahams:D

In fact i can walk to them from my door

Bha mi air a cnuic beagan am Gheamhraidh ..... I have claimed a few hills over this winter in between building, but no as many as i would like ,so air Di Sathairne i decided to do Sgorr a Chaorainn and Beinn na h Uamha at the back of Airidh Fhionndail

This involved cycling my bike from the new house to Ceann a Creagan a total of 20mins an cu was the wingman

Ceann a Creagan " the head of the rocks" .... aite inntinneachd, below the old mine works this old clachan was home to a few Suaineartaich in past times, their Airidh or sheilings are plain to see on the Glen floor.

From here a easy coisich following the river keeps you out of the bog ,path is faint in places before you climb the bealach onto the shoulder of Sgorr a Chaorainn

Tha i creagaich am bheinn bheag .... she is a rocky wee hill offering good excersise and grand views for her size

We were soon on the mullach of Na h Uamha and aye Sgurr a Chaorainn seems a good way back , be a long haul in the snow

Some place to have on your doorstep - one of my favorite bits of the country (mind you I say that about anywhere west of the Great Glen ).

An enjoyable return :D As others have said, I'd wondered where you'd gone. Some place to be building a house 8)

I really must get out to this kneck of the woods a bit more me thinks. It's not an area I have investigated much, but your reports and photos certainly bring it to life :D
