Followed the track initially before leaving it at a break to head through the trees. The track ends on the map but as we were later to find out, it continues to the Col between Black Hill and Colt Hill. This is also shown on the Walkhighlands route. So we've left it and headed through the trees, no regrets though as it was a pleasant walk through before we reached the upper part of the track. We continue up the track to the signpost for Colt Hills Arch. From the summit we head back down the track, this track is very stony and not ideal for walking on so i'd recommend taking our route through the trees. We continue down the track, taking a track branching off to the right to head for Wether Hill. This track ends at a turning point but you can continue through the trees where an ATV track leads through. This part of the walk was wet and boggy and leads you out to a break which leads up to Wether Hill. We followed the wall at this break before cutting across to the track that leads to the summit area. We descended by following the tree line down and then a road walk back to the car.

Nice report JC. Not sure what to make of the arches, havent done the circuit, but have done Colt Hill, and saw the house with half an arch through it... They sure do make good points of identification down that way.... :D

That looks a good days walk with lots of interest along the way, with some blue sky even :)

Thanks guys, it was an enjoyable walk, even though there was a wind farm in the way. :D

Nice report JC, always liked the looks of this for next winter. Funny how sticking an arch on a hill makes it much more alluring!?
