Have you lost or found some gear when out in the hills?

lost - well stolen really

lost - well stolen really

met a nice fellow yesterday who suggested I put a post up to let people know that I've had my backpack (fully loaded) stolen from my car when it was outside my house. Live in a tiny wee place where we're not used to such sheananigans and I'm sure most people more sensible and would lock cars! Lost my new kahtulas, back pack was Bergahaus Free Flow (30+5 I think is the capacity), my little red casio camera and so on and so on.

The moral of this tale is please be careful.

You have a large and widespread audience here - give us some details; colour and make of rucksack, kit, etc. And whereabouts did it happen? If you wake one morning to find your kit returned and a severed head on a stick in your garden, you'll know it was us... ;D

its so sad that a moments lost concentration should co-incide with the arrival of low life scum,a breed that are increasing at an alarming rate due to the law/courts inability to interpret what is right and good and what is not.
i do hope you have happy ending, and thank you for giving me the "platform"to have a wee rant.

by happy ending i mean finding the thief dead in a bog not too far away :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

That really sucks and I hope you get it back.

As Caberfeidh has said, you got any more details or pictures of the kit. Do they have any marks that would make them unique (Like Maddie MaCann's eye*). And where was it taken from? Doubtful it'll turn up in Aberdeen if it was taken in Isle of Wight.

*although to be honest if you have her eye I'm not sure I'll be return the bag to you...

thanks for the messages everyone> my Berghaus Free Flow 30+6 litre bag was red. My casio Exilum Zoom Ex-Z550 was also red (and come to think of it so was my knife! what does that say about me I wonder). The kahtula's wer small to fit my size 6s. Ther was a Montane Prima Loft Jacket, black, mens size medium with two small patches on the right sleeve. I don't know what make the goggles were as a very dear person gave me them as a present but they were in a little black bag and were mirrored. The water proof trousers and the hydra pack (2litres) were berghaus, silva compass and so on. Mot to mention THEY TOOK MY PEANUT BUTTER SANDWITCHES AND JELLY BEANS!!!!! How could anyone stoop so low. and it was taken from just outside aberdeen :(
