We thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon out on Little Firbriggs Hill. Although there isn't much of a climb the views are extensive, taking in Mount Keen to the south, Ben Newe to the immediate west and The Buck to the north east.
The track up started off rutted and muddy but made for easy walking after the first half kilometre, switching between flat open grassland, tyre tracks in the heather and stony landrover track. The only difficulty we encountered was in persuading our dog to reverse out of a wayside rabbit hole (see video clip).
We reached the top after an hour and the continuation north was tempting but we were short on time so left that for another day.
