Aye kudos for the Teenage Fanclub check.

Along the lines of songs not having it in the title, I would def put my hand up for the lyrics of a true classic, Fools Gold by The Stone Roses: I have often felt like this

The gold road's sure a long road
Winds on through the hills for fifteen days
The pack on my back is aching
The straps seem to cut me like a knife

I'm no clown I won't back down
I don't need you to tell me what's going down

My husband really loves rock and roll and plays a great song by the Who which has the following lines -

Listening to you, I get the story,
Gazing at you, I feel the heat,
Following you, I climb the mountains......

I've always found it very uplifting.

My personal favourite is not about mountains but it's called "Take me to the River" from the film "The Commitments", it's a great rock and roll number guaranteed to put a spring in your step.

Can't believe no one's mentioned Nancy Sinatra's These Boots Are Made For Walkin'

Or maybe everyone was too proud to admit to having heard of it
