This was mine and my daughters second attempt at Schiehallion, the first time we were rained off and this time the weather held out long enough.
Unfortunately we didn't make it to the summit (the boulder fields were hurting her feet) but still made it to an impressive 960 ish meters. It took us a total of 6 hours up and down.

This is the highest we managed (she's looking for dragons)

What a little adventurer.
Love the fact that she is looking for dragons.

960m is not bad at all. I was struggling up this hill in 100m increments with AJ, due to a knee injury.
Was a bit of a strugge to keep going, but once over 900m I was commited.

Thats not an insignificant walk for such a tiny thing, bless her. I bet it won't be long before her dad gets her to her first Munro summit. :D

Well done her and you!

I agree about boulder fields - not nice on the feet and ankles. :?

Congratulations.

My view of the boulder fields was probably too rude for your daughter, and indeed you !

It's the only thing that seemed to keep her focused on getting to the top. I may have told her that the dragons live on top of the mountains
I think we'll be leaving Schiehallion until she is a bit older, but are going to attempt Carn Gorm in a few weeks.

I've never been so proud :D

Well done that wee lass! I believe there are dragons occasionally seen on the Isle of Raasay, from the much-easier-to-climb summit of Dun Caan. There are sea~serpents too....
