so after a windy washout in Achnashellach we make a dash from the bunkhouse at 6am with nothing to see but blue skies!

We're soon at the car park and walking by 6.30 along the perfectly still Loch Maree before turning right after the bridge and up past the water fall.

The path is steep but good and zig zags nicely. I turn around and the views are stunning, as is the heat.

We hit the Corrie and have "lunch" watched by a couple of local dear. This mountain is looking seriously nice.

the locals

After a bit of bog hopping we regain the path that cuts steeply up to the lochain. Man it is hot!

After a wee breather we kick up and in what feels like no time we're at the false summit. What a view. We decide to keep pushing on and get to the true summit. Again the views are breath-taking. We sit on top for a while eating, taking in the scenery and trying to avoid Jennifer's attempts to get us involved in summit yoga...move over planking.

We drop down before heading over to Sgurr an Tuill Bhain. The views of the mountain and the fisherfields are amazing so we hangout here again before heading down.

We couldn't understand why we didn't see anyone until we were almost down...oh yeah a certain Scotsman is playing in a wee tennis final.

I bomb it back in attempt to see the final set, only to find out that victory is his somewhere outside Inverurie. oh well next year!!!
