Smallest summit areas

If only it had blasted half the pinnacle away, then I wouldn't have to climb it one day.

Outside of Scotland, Steeple is fairly small in terms of area and quite airy. You'd be doing something wrong to fall of it though.

Helm Crag probably the worst, little jut of rock hanging out over several hundred foot drop and the end of slightly awkward 30ft scramble. Looking forward to that one.... not.

The very top of Ciste Dubh near Clunie was't massive from what I remember.

Thanks for that, RTC. Had I actually walked up Deuchary Hill, the day I went to scope out the lochan beneath the summit for an overnighter, rather than the hill next to it I'd have known that!

From a distance the summit of Sgurr Alasdair looks like a sharp pinnacle which you could wrap your arms around. That is because the summit of Sgurr Alasdair is a sharp pinnacle which you could wrap your arms around, whilst whimpering like a big girl's blouse....

Surely the summit of any hill is a point....the highest point.

Don't get much smaller than a point, although people do sometimes get confused as to which one is the highest one.

Funny, I forgot all about that :)
I thought of one today, while out walking. Beinn Mheadhoin in the Cairngorms.
