Planned this twice over the last fortnight and it didn't happen due to my recurring back injury (disc bulge at L4) playing havoc with my sciatica. still having problems with back today but weather forecast was good so decided that it's now or never.

headed up to the spittal for 7.15am and set off on the anti-clockwise circuit.

Yup I do sympathise with your back issues. I had a weeks holiday booked 3 weeks ago, all our routes for the week were made for the days ahead.

Sunday night car was packed with all our camping and hiking gear-we were ready to go.

I bent down to clap the dogs and that was it, I couldn't straighten up. Virtually bedded all week of my holiday.

Holiday ruined and one pi,, ed off wife made for a very unhappy week.

Very, very well done on achieving the above with a dodgy back.
