Great day for it, Bod - would agree this has to be the best approach. Almost exactly three years ago now, did the same route up by bike, lovely sight when Ben Lui comes into view........and met MrD on top of Ben Oss ! Cracking cycle back down as well - cheers :)

Nice one bod. I completed Beinn Dubhcraig (very wet and boggy) and Ben Oss yesterday, it was really, quite windy and upleasant above 650 metres and got lashed twice. Funnily enough there was no one else around!

I took the exactly the same as youd did off Ben Oss, even passed that wee tree and then a bit of burn jumping back to the track, which was a pleasant walk in after a difficult day up top. Good idea with the mountain bikes too, you could fairly motor down that track on the way back.

I stood looking at the way up Ben Lui you took for 5 mins, looks amazing from down there and it was the only time all day I saw the summit clear. At 1600 walking down the track you could see Ben More, Stob Binnen, Cruach Ardrain and An Caisteal. The view from Allt an Rund is the best for sure, might even look at your route in winter conditions, just the one hill mind! Thanks for sharing your report and nice pictures.

Hi,

Im thinking to going up Ben Lui on Saturday using my Bike then hiking and finally snowboarding down. Is this the easiest route to bike in that you took or is there a better track from the car park at Glen Lochy.
