That's a serious introduction to Lakeland, scoob. You describe yourself as a mountain walker, but Pinnacle Ridge is Grade 3 scrambling, even in summer conditions. It looks like you had fun on Striding Edge. An excellent route; it seems you all had a good day.

We're all experienced scramblers simon :D and knew what to expect, and it lived up to our expectations and then some

Is there any other routes like that one in the lake district?

You could always do Pillar Rock in Ennerdale, a grade 3 scramble. Or some of these:

It's obvious from the video that you all knew what you were doing, scoob! I thought it might be worth mentioning that Pinnacle Ridge is no regular English fellwalk, for the benefit of anyone less experienced who might be reading.

Col's recommendations for other scrambles sound good; the environs of Pillar Rock is one place where English mountain scenery really can stand up alongside the Highlands and Snowdonia for rugged grandeur. The Cicerone guides, Scrambles in the Lake District, Volumes 1 and 2, are also very good books. One Lakeland precipice you should find particularly interesting is Dow Crag, near Coniston:

Looking good there - I have a gpx file for that route setup and ready to go for next summer (just need to find the time to fit it). Good to see a video of the "difficult" chimney bit.

Also Pillar Rock by the slab and notch route is on the list of "to do"s. Lorton Gully on Grasmoor also looks interesting - haven't read to much about that one though.
