Cracking first of the Cool-ins

Headed out bright and early at the leisurely time of 6:30am to head up our first munro of the Cullins. On the drive in it was amzing the view of the Cullins, every time you saw them wa a photo op!

Viewpoint

Arrived at Sligachan at about 7:30 and headed out. Turn right up the road and took the big path off to the left, knowing this wasn't the path we were meant to take but that this one would join onto it. Big mistake as it turned into a super-bog and we were very glad to get on the proper track. Took the path that couldn't have had a bigger sign if it had tried and it was a relatively straight forward walk up by Allt Dearg Mor up towards Bealach a' Mhaim.

Headed right up Allt Dearg Mor until we reached Allt an Fhionn-choire, where we took the path off to the right and on up towards Fionn Choire.

The cairns going the whole way up proved useful in the upper sections especially, where the path was incredibly faint.

As we came up into Bealach nan Lice the views just opened up and were absolutely stunning.

Looking back where we came from

Decided to go over the ridge and didn't see the path going down to the left so after a tiny bit of scrambling headed up to the top.

Headed back down the sensible (lower) path on the way down, took a quick left before Bealach nan Lice and then headed back the way we came. Stopped for a bit of lunch once we reached Allt Dearg Mor again.

Headed back to the car and back home for before 2. The girls were very surprised to see us home so early!
