What a difference a wee drop of snow makes to a mountain! Nothing better than walking in hard crusty snow with a bit of blue sky above!

Nice one Colla, enjoyed this one too.....had some interesting mini whiteout sections over the last couple of km to the summit, then a fine cuppa at the cairn

nic pics and loked a great day out. Could you do this hill without crampons or would micro spikes do with the conditions that you had. Cheers.

Aye, its a fine hill, I really liked it - even the bog was fun
Looks better with a dumping of snow right enough though

In those conditions I did not need either however I had them with me ,always best to take both in Winter as the ground changes very quickly and a wee skite can end in disaster

Oh this hill looks so much better in your photographs than in mine!

Really gorgeous with a layer of snow on it and some fabulous views.

Definitely not a boring hill, especially when you follow the fenceline back and don't realise you're following the wrong one until 10 minutes later! That gave me a wee fright that day!!!

Great report...have been keeping this hill for winter (and keep forgetting it) Thanks to your report it just moved to my list of first hill to climb in 2014 Need to get out soon!!!

Been up this twice but first time didn't summit as had to return due to getting pelted with hail. Second time was better but windy so not boring for me.
