Kinder Edge from Edale

This was a great little walk and my first time up Grindsbrook Clough from Edale with a clamber over the rocks in the final few hundred yards before reaching the edge. The 25 degree heat made it a bit harder than it would have been on a normal day but it was really good fun and less busy than most routes to Kinder. The walk along the edge was very peacefull as everyone seemed to be firing up the BBQs in advance of the footie. For those who know it, I met only 2 people in the entire length of Jacob's Ladder on a sunny Sunday morning. That just never happens!

From Jacob's Ladder I took the Pennine Way back to Edale and was very disappointed to find that the pubs weren't open yet!

Great walking round the edges of Kinder. Once you've been to the summit (and other high points), you don't particularly want to repeat it - unless perhaps it's a clear day and the peat hags are either frozen or dried up. I've done several walks round the edges, but only been to the summit once.
