An excellent day's outing in almost perfect weather, despite snow having fallen on the fells overnight. Set out early with my brother-in-law, John, from Braithwaite towards Causey Pike 2035’ and then followed the ridge over Scar Crags 2205’ and Sail 2536’ to Eel Crag 2753’ and then, given that the weather was excellent (and the forecast for tomorrow foul), decided to continue on up to the summit of Grasmoor 2791’. Returned via Hobcarton Crag 2425’ and Hopegill Head to the summit of Grisedale Pike 2595’ (originally the day's main objective) before following the Sleet How ridge back down to Braithwaite. :D :D :D
