doing lots of mini adventures at the moment - I find leaving late andgetting back earlier means more time with kids too - and you get the bst parts of the day ie sunrise and sunset

I sometimes take living nearish to the mountains for granted - popped up onto the Cairngorm plateaux via Fiacaill last night and was standing on top of Ben Macdui at 05.15 this morning - made me appreciate this even more

On a day when the east part of Scotland enjoyed the haar, and most of the central belt's hills were inside the cloud, we had a brilliant day on the hill this week, enhanced by having watched your video in advance. Wonderful views across Loch Etive to an alpine looking Ben Cruachan and great fun piecing together all the hills from west to east without referring to a map.
