After the Alltbeithe trio on Easter Monday i made my way back to my comfy digs for the rest of the week in Cannich;

Whilst in the area i fancied doing the Mullardoch Munro's but really couldn't be bothered with the hike along the lochside thankfully Angus the boatman phoned on Tuesday night to confirm a space on his boat so it was on.
The boat set off at 9 with 3 other guys who were heading to the other side of the loch to climb Beinn Findlay,Mam Sodhail and Carn Eighe,when the boat dropped me off i felt very lonely :lol:
Here's the pics from the day;

From where i was dumped it's up the track ,then i crossed the first bridge to hop and jump over a boggy haggy section to the start of the ridge up Meall a Chaisg,it wasn't actually as bad as i expected;

ha ha, I think your title is a bit deceptive - looks like the boat trip wasn't the half of it :lol: Great report and photos - looks like it was quite a tough day but on some amazing hills.

I do like understated titles :lol: Cracking walk in a great area, pity about the clag but didn't look too bad a day otherwise. Thought you were a bit of a purist when it comes to bikes.......but boats ? :shock: :wink: .....then again it does look a good way to approach the hills - cheers :)

Smashing report and pics pigeon, but you've made my question re ARs height. When up there last Sunday,,,we had a 1:25k map, a 1:50k map and they had differing heights for the actual summit, of 1120 and 1129mtrs but I see your route map on this report shows 1127mtrs,,,one for the measuring stick I think lol

Love the hat-wearing cairn there, :clap:

Aye ,only the 1120contour is shown on the explorer map and no the top,where as the landranger shows the height as 1129m ,still not to worry Gill ,it's a braw day out as you found out :wink:

And there was me thinking you were a "purist" pigeon...........and you go and take the boat :roll: :lol: Not many of us purist left now :lol:

You missed out on that joyful hike alongside the Loch :lol: An absolute killer if doing the route in reverse to you and suffered as the route back to the car :shock:

Despite the fact you cheated this is a good round of these four in remote country. Liked that Stag photo at the start too :D

Your accommodation looked good too. Seen these at a few sites now and thought they looked impressive little "houses"
