A big day for me last Saturday, bagging the three westerly Crianlarich munros. The previous day was a mini adventure in Arrochar with an unplanned semi-ascent of the Cobbler on my way down Ben Ime, trying to find a party of kids who'd wandered off from their mum. The Saturday in Crianlarich was an epic. Physically the toughest day I've had since the Snowdon horseshoe last summer and my biggest mountain day in Scotland.
I've posted a fuller account of the weekend on my blog with a couple of photos and a summit video. Beinn Chabhair does link pretty well with Beinn a'Chroin and An Caisteal but the route finding off Chabhair was quite hard and there's significant descent and re-ascent.
This weekend I also learned why it's essential to carry a first aid kit and sensible to keep a head torch in your bag any time of year.
