White Mounth Munro's from Glen Doll

While staying at Glen Clova hostil it seemed like a good idea tackle the White Mounth group from Glen Doll so I set of from the Glen Doll car park at about 8.30 I cycled up the forest track and path for about 5km and left it at the side of the track just short of the tree line.

The path gets very rough for a bit it crosses a wooden bridge just before going into the trees a short distance on is the Roy Tait Bridge a really beautiful spot from here on the path is excellent zig zaging up the hill. It eventually joins the main path leading up to my first top for the day Broad Cairn.

It was 10.30 and time for a bite to eat, I got talking a couple of mountain bikers and a very nice chatty lady from Inverness who had been camping out so it was an extended stop. Then it was off towards Cairn Bannoch

3rd of the day Carn an t- Sagairt Mor

views were great but soon time for me to head on to Carn an t- Sagairt Mor arrived at 12.30, I had a good look round with views down to the Glenshee Ski centre where I had been walking yesterday. I decided to head for Carn a’ Choire Bhoidheach before stopping for lunch but the top was pretty uninteresting

so I headed a short distance to some rocks at the top of Stuic Buttress which gave great views down into the snow banked corrie and the clear blue water of Loch nan Eun as well as watching all the comings and goings from Lochnagar.

Eventually it was time to walk round and up the final top of the day I arrived to very busy to at around 3pm, brilliant top but it has got to be the busiest top I have ever visited.

Great views down into the corries on both sides as you approach the summit. Then it was the part of the day I was not looking forward to I headed back down the path that leads to Loch Muick. I should have followed it all the way down to the loch and round the head of the loch before taking the path back up the hill which joins up with the track leading to Broad Cairn instead I left the main path before it descended and tried to contour round I managed it but the going was rough and it did not end up saving much of the decent or climb back up. By the time I got back to the car it was 6.15. It was great to have the bike there and 25min later I was back at the car. So it was a long day but well worthwhile.

That's quite a round and a great achievement! You could have biked it all the way around with the other guys! That's some crowd on top of the last hill.

no way I would get up there on a bike, I was lucky with the weather clear but not too warm.
