At last Inn Pinn day (or Een Peen as Jimbo Simpson named it
)
Forecast was a bit dodgy but our guide Jonah was keen to get us up there so me,Jim,Erin ,Pat ,Ryan and Ian set off up the good path from the start point.
Even John Merrick couldn't handle the midges at Sligachan;

A steady climb up was broken up by Jonah by giving us 3 wee tea breaks the cloud lifting now and then to reveal Sgurr Alasdair ,at the third break we got our helmets and harnesses on.The mist came down as we got closer to the top of Sgurr Dearg and the Pinn never revealed itself till we were right next to it
it was a fair sight when it appeared out of the clouds;

On Sgurr Dearg Jonah sorted us out into groups of 4,we had been joined by a father and son ,Phil and Allan and Jonah decided that the guinea Pigeon would go first followed by Erin,Ryan then Pat so the first four of us made our way nervously to the base of the Pinn.We waited on another group to clear the climb before starting up ,slowly and steadily the 4 of us made our way up the Pinn following Jonah's lead,i've no photo's from the climb up cos i was bricking it
Struggled a wee bit on the crux but somehow found my way up and thankfully young Erin behind me seem to manage better than me and soon the 4 of of us were safely at the first pitch,the next section was a bit easier but way more exposed so thankfully the clag was still lingering so we couldn't really see the vertical drops to either side
Another nervous wait at the top of the Pinn waiting on the group in front,the downward bit was the one i was most worried about;

Jonah got us set for the drop down and lucky me got to go first again,bit more practice needed by myself on the abseil front is all i'm saying but got myself down somehow without losing or breaking any body parts
Erin was next and i could relax now and take more pics;

So that was the Inn Pinn ,plans to catch Sgurr mhic Choinnich were put on hold for another day and we made our descent down Coire na Banachdich happy in the knowledge that the Inn Pinn was done mibbees no by the best group of mountaineers in history but what an experience though.Many thanks to Jonah our guide for getting us up (and down)and the pint afterwards
