Three of us walked the full length of the ridge plus the craigs that can be so clearly seen from Killin at the end of the ridge.

We avoided any gratuitous climbing on the way up Tarmachan. We also avoided the rocky drop off Meall Garbh to Beinn Nan Eachan by following a branch off the main path going right and then steeply down a grass slope. The path continues to the top of Creag Na Caillich before continuing south directly towards Killin before contouring round to the south side of the crag. This path goes above a sheer drop down to a small dam. It is little more than a sheep track and would not be good in the wet. I'd recommend simply going over the top and meeting the path on the other side unless you like these kinds of risks. Looking back up from the bottom it looks even worse. The path heads west and down a grassy slope and finally cuts back and down a burn to the dam. From here there is a track that joins the quarry track and heads back towards the car park.

The path goes round the very top of the crags.
