Last day of my Highland holiday and decided on the Glas Maol circuit. I parked at the ski center and walked down the road to the first start point so I did not have so far to walk on the road at the end of the day apart from that it was exactly as described in walkhighlands. The weather was dry and warm wind got up slightly on the top of Glas Maol but not too bad. A few things I saw on the walk. 3 Mountain Hares, Dead deer, Herd of Deer, Ptarmigan, Land Rover, Mini bus on top of Cairn of Claise about seven people all looking very happy because they had not had to walk all the way up, Very nice couple from Netherlands who love there football team and Scottish fans.

My girlfriend and I were up there at the same time and saw the "Safari" coming back from Cairn of Claise.

I think they paid £30 each for a bumpy drive to see a few mountain hares

Funny you should mention that. We were up at loch callater not far from glenshee on the same day, when a mini bus drove down the track and passed the loch. I thought it was quite strange!

It'll be the same one. When it passed us it took the track towards Glen Callater.

A bizarre sight on the hills
