Friday. Day 3 of my pre-meet walking trip. The sun is belting down out of the sky and my legs are almost ground down to stumps after my epic 15 hour alternative route on the Beinn Dearg group the day before and in excess of 10 hours walking over a couple of routes on the Wednesday. The plan for today had been to take in Ben Wyvis and his little brother on the way down to the meet at Nethy Bridge, but if ever there was a situation where discretion was the better part of valour, then here it was. I therefore opted to do only the Corbett and leave the area once more with Ben Wyvis itself still at large.

Not a great deal to report other than the busy car park, large number of walkers heading off up the path (none of whom turned right once out of the forestry!) and the scorching heat. Good job kiltedbiggles had the keg of Trade Winds in hand. At our very own bar by 4.05 was the plan - sounded good to me! 8)

Nice wee jaunt isn't it? Little poopy and I had a great time there in Winter last year.
Look forward to reading the report on your grandfather.

That looks a cracker of a day Graeme, on the hot side for the biggie though! Great views you had, I'm afraid I had nothing like that when I did it before the WH Assynt meet. At least I didn't see the Windfarm :)

Another good looking Corbett :D

Looks like you had the weather for it too, which always helps. My day on the Big Wyvis became something of an exercise in standing up in the strong winds I encountered.
