The day had finally arrived when we would all finish the Munros on the same day. We planned this as we were all nearing the end, with Jimmy and Mo 10 Munros behind me but with a week off before i had my 16 nights holiday at Kinlochewe. I was never going to set a date for my last one, hence the reason i booked 16 nights at Kinlochewe Caravan Site, in the hope i'd get a good day for finishing. So Jimmy and Mo went hell for leather in the week they had to catch up, including doing Beinn Alligin and Liathach on the same day, which left them with the two on Beinn Eighe to finish. I had previously climb Spidean, so only had Ruadh-stac Mor left to finish. Jimmy and Mo arrived at my caravan armed with walk reports for Beinn Eighe, all saying it's better to come down the scree rather than go up it but i disagreed and being the leader of this motley crew i had the final say. My opinion was i'd rather have the long walk in rather than the long walk out and also the walk in was gradual which would warm the legs up. As for the scree, it is avoidable, by firstly going over the boulders rather than the scree path and for the final section of scree there are ledges to the left which can be used to avoid most of the scree. So my advice would be do the walk clockwise. Now to the walk itself. I left this for last as Torridon is my favourite area in Scotland and Kinlochewe my favourite caravan site and knew i'd get at least one good day in 16 and as it turned out i got 14 good days from 16. The day we did the walk was up there with the best of them and we set off from the car park Glen Torridon, taking the path that climbs gradually up and around to Loch Coire Mhic Fhearchair. Once we were around the Loch we made our way up to the col and then for my moment of glory on Ruadh-stac Mor and the end of a great journey. We sat at the summit for a bit before making our way round the ridge for Jimmy and Mo's turn on Spidean before making our way down to the parking area at the foot of Spidean where my car had been left to save the road walk back. We couldn't have asked for a better day or mountain to finish on and this walk was up there with the best of them for us all. Now all i have to do is choose which photos to leave out of this report, which will probably be harder than doing the walk.

Congratulations on compleating the Munros

I've read nearly all of your reports and it's great that you shared your journey with the rest of us. Seems like you had a lot of fun and laughs as well :D

You also left some fantastic walk reports and photos for those of us who are slowly plodding our way round, so thanks for that and all the best in the future. (Morag x)
