The 2 Beinn Eighe Corbetts

I did this walk with Andy "Londonwalker" who arrived at the site the previous day. We started from Glas Leitire car park, taking the south path to the viewpoint before continuing over to Ruadh-stac Beag. We decided to hit this head on rather than walk around to the south side and made our way up the steep north east ridge, both agreeing if we were on our own we would not be going up this route. The route was steep in places with a wee scramble to negotiate and we were soon on the ridge making our way to the summit. It was another warm day in Torridon and after lunch we had a good rest at the summit, before opting to return down the south slopes rather than our route of ascent. This route is down scree before reaching the grassy ground down below. We then made our way back towards the viewpoint with Andy stopping off at a Lochan to dip his feet while i went up Meall a' Ghiuthais. I returned to the car from the summit via the north path, while Andy returned to Kinlochewe via the path that takes you to Kinlochewe funnily enough.

Gosh you are certainly getting through the Torridon hills! Can you tell me what it was about the ascent of Ruadh-stac Beag that made you feel you wouldn't have tackled it that way on your own? Did you go up near the caves? It's high on my list and I'm trying to devise a route that takes in as much of the hill as possible.

Just the safety side mainly. It wasn't too bad in the end, with the steep grassy slopes probably the worst bit. We had originally planned to go up beside the caves but we headed over to the grassy area to the right and then a wee scramble before going up the rocky ridge. I'm sure you will be fine tackling it on your own.
