Bin up t' Lochnagar a puckle times noo,
Jist nivver teen time t' dee the 'horseshoe'.
So wi time aff on holidays, an a' bein quiet,
The forecast wis good, so decided ah'd try it.
Up real early, gie masel time t' dee it,
Heeded up the car park, parked next t' a Seat.
Beets on, sticks oot, an' bag on ma back,
Teen a big piece, gan t' be a fair wakk.
Heed aff doom the track, gettin looks fae the deer,
Hae a look at the tap, it's bonny an' clear.
Up aheed, a couple, aboot them aye checkin,
Ah'm catchin 'em quick, but already, am pechin.
'Ve haf lost the path', ah'm guessin they're German,
'YIr at the fit o the Ledder, so it's jist up 'er min'.
Up ower the tap an' roon t' the Cairn,
Jist fower mair t' go, t' fill ma day in.
Carn a' Choire Bhoidheach is next on the wye,
Bit the clouds comin ower, jist hope it bides dry.
Turn left at the steens, an' stroll on up the hill,
Ats two doon, bit there's anither three still.
On doon the valley, an' cross ower the burn,
Nae sure far ah'm gan noo, should be a right turn.
Bit ah followed the path roon an' it came inta sight,
Well, mair o' a crossroads, bit am turnin right.
T' Carn an t-Sagairt Mor, far the ald plane wing lies,
Ah hae ma piece, lookin Sooth, at darkenin skies.
Then it's back doon t' the crossroads, an fair on es time,
Aff the steens, back t' grass, so the wakkin is fine.
Next een's Cairn Bannoch, an' the goings real easy,
Clim richt t' the tap, bit it's a wee bit breezy.
Rummell back doon, an' on across the grass,
T' the tap o' Broad Cairn, Savin the best view til last!
So wi' a' five deen, jist t' heed back t' the car,
Mibbe a haf oors wakk, it disna look far.
Bit it seems that at distance, ah'm nae a good judge,
Cos for mile efter mile ah continue t' trudge!
Bit eence ah'm at the car, ah hae a wee ponder,
Fit a great day, an' fit a great wander!!

With apologies to anyone outwith the North East of Scotland who didn't understand a word of the above!

That was fabulous - thank goodness I lived in Aberdeen for four years! I think that now needs to be your signature style.
