Today was to be our second day climbing around Glencoe and with the sky much clearer than yesterday, when we hit low cloud on Stob Dhub at 700m and then on upwards never saw a thing. This Corbett had been on my to do list for a while and I knew that as I was in the area this would be the hill to climb for such a day as this. With the roadside car park full at Altnafeadh and not wishing to damage the underside of my car on the Southside car park ( The Buachaille) entrance, I parked further West towards Glencoe where there is an area for approx three cars.

After leaving the road after passing the tree plantation on your left pass through the opening in the fence and head towards a gate at the top part of th roadside field, the gate is on the ground so no climbing required. We continued along the fence line until the right angle bend heading right towards the West shoulder of the Corbett. Note we found out later at the gate there is a fence on your right cross it and you will find a row of three old rotten tree stumps, along this line there is a feint path which probably is the route you will follow

Looking back to the Buachaille, in fact there is not a lot to see looking forwars at this point alll the good views are to the West

Nice one Rod, notice you are busy knocking off the Corbett's
Glencoe was busy when we drove through at the weekend, especially the layby for the big Buckil

Loved the photo looking down onto the road

I must admit I'm saving this one for winter conditions. With such views it would be a superb treat on a crispy, blue-skye winter day.

We had a good look at it earlier this year from the Wee Buachaille (actually I'd love to repeat this one in snow, too :D ).

Great report of a hill that has recently caught my eye, mostly because of the superb views of the Buachaille, I think you had the right idea in keeping this one of a clear day.

Hi Sarah, I look forward to seeing Penny in the foreground with the Buachaille in the background, that would be a classic picture. Hurry up and do it before the snow comes! :)

November, hopefully, probably the last chance this year, but we've had a great time in Scotland over 2014, already planning for next year. Cheers :D
