This was a walk with 27 overseas students who go to my church in Glasgow! Less than 25 miles pleasant drive, good parking, and then an easy walk up a great path with well maintained steps in places. Views all the way, apart from the forest at the bottom which has red squirrels. No false summits, although for the purists, the true top is slightly further away than where most folks go. Everyone was delighted, cameras were working overtime and we just basked in being there. A hang glider added to the entertainment. This is a great trip for all types and abilities, as our group was. It would be good for entertaining visitors who had limited time or were not up for Ben Lomond. The VQ/H (view quality divided by height) ratio (can I patent this?) is very high: better than the Angus Munros, for e.g. It would be in the same division as Dumgoyne. There are loos at the visitor centre (20 piece!) and shops nearby in Balmaha. A great half day trip from the city and a fine way to introduce our students to the joys of Scotland's hills. The Inn Pin by June? Hmm....!
