As this was going to be a minimum 8hrs walk we stayed the night in Jimmy and Mo's caravan at Killin to break up the journey. I got very little sleep as the room i had was bloody freezing and the miserable gits wouldn't let me put the heating on  . There was also no water on, so number twos were banned but there was two buckets full of water to pour down the toilet in the morning, which i was tempted to leave a "present"in for Jimmy. I refrained from this but with Jimmy being ex army, i'm sure he would have seen the funny side. So after all the morning banter we left just before 6, with the whole journey being moaning about how cold my car was and Jimmy telling Mo to get into the sleeping bag i had on the back seat, good, payback i'm thinking for the cold room i had. The roads were quiet and the journey passed well and we were all ready to set off along the track at 07.50 from Callop, with Mo dressed like she was off to the Antartic. However 30 mins into the walk she was stripped down to shorts and t-shirt, which left me thinking   We followed the track to the waymarked sign for the path to Cona Glen but ignore this and carry on up the track a little further before leaving the track. You take the path to just after the gate before soon leaving it to take the ridge up to the first Corbett. The ridge then heads south west, then west to the second Corbett and then continues to MnCL. We made our way to the fence line which can be mostly followed down the ridge towards Druim Tarsuinn. You then have to leave this ridge and join the ridge up towards DT via the bealach, where again the fence line aids navigation in poor weather. After reaching the summit we had a bite to eat before returning to the bealach and heading down to the Glen and over to the Cona Glen - Callop footpath back to the car, arriving back 8 hrs 5 mins after setting off.

Looks like a fine day - wish I wasn't at work! I was thinking about these hills just now for some reason.

Hi JC another fine day in the hills I see. and good of you to have the time to write yet another report - get a proper job :D
Have you got thin blood or something? Jimmy and Mo managed in shorts and you got long trousers on and complaining about the cold in the caravan?
