Aye, Ben More :)

With the forecast looking spectacular it was time to test out the new Asolo Sherpas, test the knee and get some needed outdoor time...with a good lashing of physical exertion. Ben More, with its relentless ascent, fitted the bill.

Left Glasgow early and was walking for 9am. I was buzzing with anticipation at the challenge ahead. The approach to Ben More is basically staight up from the starting point, it really challenges you!

Views from around the 300M mark.

Around 700M it was time for some crampon/ice axe action :D

The pull up, as mentioned, can be tough but I was just loving be out and thinking about nothing else other than my surroundings.

After some time the summit was in site...the views looked great in every direction, with Stob Binnien looking very impressive dressed over with some lite mist. I played around at the summit for an hour and had a bite to eat. The sun was beating off my face and the huge grin was ever present. The joys :D

On the descent my crampon bolt came loose. Whilst trying to fix it another solo walker passed without crampons on. I took mines off and we walked out together, we did fall on our backsides a few times but it was good fun. Was very nice to meet you, enjoyed the "mountain" chats.

The boots felt fantastic, the knee slightly sore. I think a few more short winter walks are on the cards soon...

Short video approaching the summit.

Ha ha, good one  . Can't believe my FB got hacked, which I rarely use and only post walking/cycling stuff occasionally, and sent out all that garbage! I'll be walking the mountains with my jammies on soon

Good pair of hills these two, DB - looks like a bit more snow - or at least a bit crunchier than when I was up on Friday.
Fine views from everywhere today :D

Spectacular.
That has cheered me up after the car being written off by a lorry early this morning.

Spectacular-spectacular :D I think most WalkHighlanders were out and about, playing in the snow this Christmas!
We were too far north yesterday to wave   but enjoyed a similar experience. We carried crampons but never used them, the snow was so soft we almost swam in it.

It was a great day to be out (I walked bare footed through the ice on the river to Beinn Mhanach)
You managed to get some great photos
Lol was also utterly confused with UGG boot offers from 3 Walkhighlanders when I returned that evening
Fingers crossed that your knee will be good for some more winter walks!
