It is - the Roaches and Hen Cloud are great too. We did a backpack round there and a pub owner let us camp in the beer garden and use the loos (well, we did have a meal as well)

I think pubs are quite accommodating if you're gonna buy their stuff... me and my Mum always often used to park the camping van round the back of a pub, eat and drink in there all night, and then sleep in the carpark...

Nice report, only about 30minutes from us, Lud's Church is very different when its wet, its a matter of stepping stones at the far end

My wife and I went on a circular starting from Gradbach (just at the top of the OPs map) and followed the Dane Valley Way westward alongside the river Dane. This woodland riverside section provides a good contrast to the experience later when climbing up to and along the Roaches, before reaching Lud's Church and dropping back down to Gradbach.

Don`t think there really is a comparison Mrs.Jones but certainly a lovely walk.
By the way,if memory serves me right there has only been one previous winner of the walk of the month report outside of Scotland.
So we are overdue for another,and my fingers are crossed that your Bull Valley reports get the prize,they certainly
deserve it.
