Fabulous. Lovely photos. Congratulations on your 1000th Scottish Marilyn. SO glad the weather calmed down enough for you to get in a trip. The weather was windy on Harris all week and we met a couple whose outing had been cancelled in bad weather with similar weather to the forecast for their second shot. Shame about the bonxies. I think I may book an autumn trip and hope they are less fierce as we have experienced them on Hoy and on Foula as well as other places, though I suppose a cycling helmet might prevent them getting through.

With those photos of the sea stacks, no wonder that only two people so far have completed the Marilyns. Less people have stood on the summit of Stac Lee (if you exclude the St. Kildans on their intrepid egg gathering forays) than have http://www.munros-scotland.com/dave-hew ... agger.html

Glad to see that the weather was decent on one of your allotted days. Some seriously impressive photos there .

Now that you're about 2/3 the way to Marilyn completion you may as well carry on to the end Good effort

I remember some politician calling for St Kilda to be re-populated with descendants of the last people to live there - not too sure if he bothered to ask any of them whether they would like to live somewhere so remote and difficult!

Thanks for posting, what a great report. My college always toyed with the idea of a field trip to St Kilda but we ended up going to Mull. I know how it feels to be attacked by Skuas, happened on Staffa, huge birds!!
