Parked at apparently new Car Park to the east of Kenknock Farm, and cycled the 6.5km to just beyond Betavaime along rough low level landrover track.
Left bike secured to fence post beyond Betavaime and took right fork on good track up hillside to bridge at upper track under 1 km. At bridge took to left side of burn then up grassy hillside and climbed up through crags to ridge of Sron nan Eun about 1.5km. Walked along ridge for about 1.5km to summit of Creag Mhor. Good views to Glen Lochay and also to Loch Lyon. Returned by same route. Weather good - sunny with little wind.
On cycling back on low level track I met a young couple who had climbed Meall Glas opposite across the other side of the river Lochay. For anyone climbing Creag Mhor alone, a bike is a good option.
Warning
Please note that hillwalking when there is snow lying requires an ice-axe, crampons and the knowledge, experience and skill to use them correctly. Summer routes may not be viable or appropriate in winter. See winter information on our skills and safety pages for more information.
