First hillwalking in Scotland starts nice and easy with some appealing hills, Stac Pollaidh being the first. But what a beauty it is. Of course the weather and warm May sun were helping. I won't write a lot, since English is not my native language, and unreadable mistakes may be annoying to some, and I won't post a lot of photo's, but still I would like to share some of what I've seen on this and other hills with you.
Warning
Please note that hillwalking when there is snow lying requires an ice-axe, crampons and the knowledge, experience and skill to use them correctly. Summer routes may not be viable or appropriate in winter. See winter information on our skills and safety pages for more information.
