Up in my favorite destination Ullapool .
However fancied a solo wander.
Great day despite the weather forecasting 70mph gusts .
It really was not that bad , the only time i felt , i probably should not be up here was when i was coming off the 2nd summit , down along the ridge.
I have to say i would definately NOT come through the plantation as Walkhighlands suggests .
It is absolutely relentless . I would not even suggest it as a 2nd or 3rd choice it is awful and almost ruins an otherwise lovely day.
I would suggest Continuing down up to stage 4 suggested , then cross river and ascend back onto the path that scours round the hill you first ascended. ( the one you were on earlier but came off to head up the ridge , as Stage 3 suggests )
This would be much more pleasant
Super Tom from the hostel goes this way too !
