My Bud and me had been talking about Nevis and Macdui for while and had decided on doing Nevis 1st as there is more down that area for our girls to do(SHOPPING LOL) and see. My Bud parked his car & we camped in the little carpark lower down the road
as it was getting quite dark very windy and colder. We set off around 9.30am from centre carpark as we were in NO HURRY as it was a Gorgeous day. We had decided to take the path that leads us past Coire an Lochan . We took a break there, took more pics and thats what we did all the way up to Macdui's summit. I went off track to the right to get better views of the Lairig Gru, Cairn Toul etc (Took lots of pics that day around 700 myself LOL). We arrived at Ben Macdui's summit around 1pm, took loads more pics had food & drinks and headed off towards Cairn Gorm. Seen lots of deer on the ways and some brillant veiws . We walked along the top of Coire an t-Sneachda's corrie headed off to left and straight up Cairn Gorm (forgetting to do Cairn Lochan's summit in our excitement and it was only 20mins away LOL). Had a break on Cairn Gorm at its summit and wondered around the whole top area taking pics . Headed down Cairn Gorm using the Ski paths , organised our gear and headed home. our second & third Munro.Last edited by Scotshiker on Thu Dec 11, 2014 7:19 pm, edited 4 times in total.

Is the date of this trip accurate? There doesn't appear to be any snow on the hills anywhere? But other reports/webcams/photos suggest there is snow up there right now. I only ask because I am heading up there next week.

Confused by this. Your other trip report in the Cairngorms, walked a couple of days before, shows quite a bit of snow.

hello dantonhill,
I came out of the trees on my velo at Inverdruie after coming through from Glen Feshie yesterday....stopped off for a visit at a building which looks directly out to the Nothern corries of Cairngorm....still very wintery up there with the white Lady ski run still nearly complete. There is a fresh sprinkling of snow on the Sgorans this morning. I guess that the images must be from a trip in another season.

Sorry folks was meant to be a diary entry only as the walk was done in August 09.
