Two Skye Grahams The Storr and Hartaval

[The Rodmiester]

Having come off Ben Tianavaig at about 0930hrs I had eyes on adding to my Graham count and with me not far from Portree thought the ideal pair would be The Storr and Hartaval. When I arrived at the start both sides of the road were being used as an overflow car park so I guessed the start was going to be kind of busy, nothing else for it, head down and go.

Already hoards were milling around, some on their way down

I was to be heading for the rear of Needle Rock on the right

Getting quieter at this point

The point it all got quiet on the hill with many not reaching this point

Hartaval. When climbing stay on the left of the fenceline, take care in poor weather as the fenceline heads towards the cliffs on the East side

Brilliant!! Incredible clarity is the blue sky I've been lucky enough to be up these in summer and winter conditions.

Hi dooterbang, a fabulous week for walking, made up for this crap Summer so far Once out of the way of the tourists I really enjoyed this walk. The original idea was to have done the ridge but other things came up.

Hi MilanBohac, Skye is a must for you to visit, luckily the weather very kind last week Just goes to show that it's not all about Munros and Corbetts, some wonderful smaller hills with superb views.
