Another sunny day in the borders, started at 12.15 from Stobo and headed up onto Penvalla, back down then over to Trahenna Hill and on down to the old railway line all the way back to Stobo.

I did a different route for these 2 hills in winter starting at Broughton. They aint the highest hills but I've become quite attached to this area over the past 18 months. Maybe its because I couldn't travel any further during the big freeze - even the shortish drive down here was treacherous a couple of times.

I did Trahenna during the winter after work. I started from where you rejoined the road. This is the forest you have a picture of next to the Muir burn when I was walking up.
