Not the first time in the lakes this year, but the first time the weather was kind enough to us for a good walk. Lovely winter conditions.
I can't write this without mentioning how dangerous our little hobby can get, my heart goes out to the families of those poor people who lost there lives in Glencoe this weekend, Please stay safe people.

Hi Chris, Great pics, wholly concur with your sentiments. Did these two as a safe option on a bad snow day last December, as we descended we saw MRT and Helis going for a climber, killed falling off Swirral Edge :( I guess it only takes a second, keep safe. Dave

Did swirl edge myself in December last year, even with an ice axe and crampons it was hard work.

Good to see you were able to get out and about Chris, and loved the photos :D
Not as much snow as I thought there'd be!

Beautiful photos Chris  must have been a lovely wander.

The catastrophic loss in Glencoe has hit the whole outdoor community, it's effects have reverberated around the world. I have heard discussions about it in stores in Calgary and tea rooms in Canmore, I think because deep down inside us we all recognise that one day it could be us, I certainly escaped one last year and I'm sure I'm not the only one to do so. RIP :(

Nice pics, and sobering thoughts on the tragedies. A useful read for me, I'm planning to go up these 2 (+Stybarrow) this weekend, end of November, and with luck in early December Helvellyn, my route taking me down Swirral - which I might think twice about now!
