Alas Friday, my last day in the mountains, came far too soon. The morning weather forecast wasn’t that bad but the conditions changed for the worse in the afternoon. Once again I chose for the tarmac road in Glen Nevis and continued on the stalkers path in the direction of Stob Ban. The gales were so strong that I needed my goggles. The windless summit astonished me. Just before Mullach nan Coirean it was raining heavily and poured from then onwards for the rest of the day. Down in the pine wood, I enjoyed my last sandwiches and on the forest route I walked back to Fort William.
