Hi there

I'm quite new to the site and to 'proper' hillwalking. I've always loved being in the country, but over the last eighteen months I've been working up from trails, mainly around Atholl Woods, to a few of the Pentlands and now a few Marilyns and one very proud Corbett, Ben Vrackie - see below.

Although I can find it physically tough at times, I'm totally loving it and hoping to get out a lot more this year and work up to a Munro or two.

The site and all the reports are a great resource and source of inspiration for me - I've started adding a few reports of my own which I hope are helpful to other newbies like myself !

Susan

Well done. Ben Vrackie is tougher than several Munros. Hope you find the walk descriptions on here useful

Hi, really enjoyed your report on the Lomonds - well done! The smaller hills can be every bit as rewarding as the big ones!

We have bought a house in Fife as it's one of my favourite areas in the world - looking forward to one day retiring to be near the hills - and the superb coast too,

If you get up to the north west any time, here are two to try which are tiddlers in height but fantastic walks, among the most scenic I've done - Stac Pollaidh http://www.walkhighlands.co.uk/Forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=58660 and Beinn na h-Eaglaise http://www.walkhighlands.co.uk/Forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=58660
