A cracking day with a hung thermal inversion. What looked like an innocuous pair of Corbetts on the map was actually a brilliant walk. They are perfectly placed in the middle of all the good stuff.

Inversions are always terrific - the drone really gives a different aspect altogether.

Astonishing how much snow melt there is compared to just a few weeks ago on Lui. Seems only last week I was looking at that great walk report by Alteknacker from his walk at the end of February.

Smashing vid in great conditions. The drones definitely provide an unusual perspective.

I was looking at a similar sort of inversion on Tuesday from much further West, and, I confess, I was pleased for once not to be in it, so that I had the views all day at every elevation!

BTW I had similar battles with soft snow - knee, sometimes thigh deep break-throughs
