Slippery Sublime Slioch - A Walkhighlands Bagging Frenzy!!

Friday evening a plan was hatched to take in Slioch. This hill was on many a radar as part of a push to compleat the Munroes, it was deemed a group effort would enrich the experience, in what was forecast for crap weather! The weather lived up to expectations with rain. sleet, and snow storms...but the sun did eventually shine

This would be Fife Flyers 250th Munro, he also has wrote up a wonderful report detailing the day which you can find in the link below. I will merely post my photos as a record of our day. It was a fabulous day, again with free flowing banter and snowball shenanigans.

I had finished this walk with Nigel (Old Danesian) as he had a long journey South ahead of him, we had great converse over many subjects...it really helped with the long walk out. My knee was really hurting now, I wouldn't walk on the Sunday

Saturday night at the WH meet was quiz night! 50 people, assigned to 67 groups, fighting for quiz champions. I heard that Fife Flyer was hot favourite...but he finished in second place . I'm sure grabbing his 250th Munro earlier would help with his devastation My young group obviously didn't have the experience, or time, to enhance our knowledge and came last

This was a brilliant weekend of walking with some wonderful people, I made some new friends and hope to walk again with them all soon. Thanks to Rod & Gary for organizing, also Gill & Tomsie for being quiz masters. Looking forward to the summer meet in Assynt...my favourite part of Scotland

There was an awful lot of silliness on Slioch on Saturday! And other great times had by all, in the Torridon and Gairloch hills last weekend.
