Guided Inn Pinn climbing partner wanted, summer, flex. dates

Guided Inn Pinn climbing partner wanted, summer, flex. dates

Postby Dommie » Sat May 28, 2016 3:23 pm

Hi,
I am looking for potential climbing partner(s) to climb (and obviously safely descent) Inn Pinn. The price of the guided climb/person reduces with the number of people accordingly. As an example from Jonah Jones, a highly recommended Skye tour guide's website:
1 person: £170
2 people: £90/person
3 people: £80/person
4 people: £70/person
5 people: £60/person
for a one day course.
I can offer 4 places in my car for car sharing to get to Skye from Glasgow and back.
I would like to do Inn Pinn this summer as I am aiming to finish the Munros this year. However the exact date doesn't really matter, it is open for discussion.

Cheers
Domokos

Hi I'm up for this. I need to do the Inn Pinn and hopefully if plans work out it will be my compleation. Only dates to avoid for me are 01/08/2016 for 2 weeks. I can get to Glasgow easily from NE England, alternatively I can easily get to Skye.

Please keep me in mind.

Should have added that I am available at all times and at short notice apart from the two weeks in August.

Hi, Would be pleased to team up with other people to ascend InnPinn because of costs.
Anytime would be suitable for me. InnPinn is only Munro on Skye I yet to Climb.

Hi, I would be interested in this too. Would be happy to try to fit in with whatever dates are decided - generally flexible but with exceptions. Would be coming from Edinburgh.

Dear All,

Apology for the late reply, I have been travelling to date. Looks like there is interest so I will get in touch with a few guides, see what dates they can offer and will post here as soon as I know.
Cheers

What a fabulous idea! I'm not ready for the I.P. yet but it's obviously part of my plans. As a mostly solo walker I priced a guide for 5 days (to bag all Skye munro's) at around £500 I think it was. Might try this idea when my time comes in order to keep costs down. Nice one, and good luck - make sure you write up a report!

Hi Dommie,
Just wanted to throw in a couple of helpful tips, if you are interested.
I can recommend a guide, he is an ex forces friend, for doing the ridge. I can forward his details if you haven't found anything else and would like to chat with him. For what it's worth he has a 100% record with clients on the ridge and is not phased by any weather conditions.
It would be advisable to do Sgurr Mhic Choinnich and Sgurr Alasdair at the same time, if you are up to it physically, as it wouldn't cost any more than a day rate anyway. These 3 from the In Pinn route are definitely worth having a guide for, as they are pretty tricky, but a guide would take out the risk and treble the fun.
Feel free to PM me if you are interested.
We did the In Pinn and had 3 glorious days on the ridge last week, factor 50 all day.
You'll love it.

Good luck
Chris

Hi All,

Firstly thanks for the useful comments/advice. Now I have the 16th of July booked with a guide. There is ONE REMAINING PLACE to make up the team to the maximum of 5 people. If interested can you please private message me you e-mail address to make the future communication easier? First come first served!
