This is my first report for a long time ,but have been wanting to bag this hill for a long time so show u one of my climbs
in Toridon the other being Beinn Alligin. As you might have read in one of my posts i was looking forward to climbing trip
with my mate's but the week before we we going to leave i took a hell of sore knee ,rested for a few days then climbed the
Cruachan horse shoe the knee was killing me on the way round ,but i got off and back to the car in 10hours plenty of rest and Ibuprofen, after a weeks rest away we went on fri the 28th May,stopped of at Bridge of Orchy to climb Beinn an Dothaidh , i missed this one last Nov when climbing when the wind and rain made us cut short ourclimb that day.
CIMG0009.JPG
When climbing all over the carin it fell down , i rebuilt it with this big pointy stone
we renamed it Stevenson's Point....
With one munro done knee tested back to the car more buprofen and headed up to Glen Shiel to walk the south glen shiel ridge on the Sat, a quick stop of at the commando war monument
CIMG0011.JPG
My mate's only action they have seen is fighting each other
when its time for one of them to get a round in :-)

Sat morn up early and off to thr ridge.... 7 munros in one walk this will defo test the knee
CIMG0019.JPG
This is me on top of Creag a Mhaim the first of the ridge but my second of my trip

also meet this guy at the cairn...... think his name was Matt (munro)
CIMG0021.JPG
Matt Munro........

anyway got all 7 bagged and all got off safe and well, an other long day and back to camp site for food , drink, and a good sleep.
Sunday we had a day off before heading to Torridon, packed up tent dried of our stuff , that a nice wee camp site at
shiel bridge right under the 5 sisters...
CIMG0055.JPG
The Shiel Bridge Campsite with the 5 sisters of kintail in background...

Next stop on our tour was Torridon and all i can say is W.O.W the drive in from Achnashen from the Ledgowan lodge
our next camping stop was awesome
CIMG0061.JPG
Me and the lads out side the Torridon Inn after dinner and one or five drinks
home early Liathach in the morning....

Again early start but this time only 2 of us the othe 2 pals had to head home on the mon as they had work the next day... it was their loss.....
CIMG0062.JPG
At the foot of Liathach from the over flow car park

Now this is when me and my pal Gazza had a brainwave that if we walk it from back to front we will not have such a long walk back to the car when we finish the ridge being in the over flow carpark and only having one car now.
So we took the path from the car park and 3hours later we crossed a bridge and started climbing....

the bridge we crossed then we started climbing.....

After about 2 hour climb in the heat we were given view's like this.....

Gazza and I topped out on Mullach an Rathain
our first munro of the day......

After a short break for food and pic's then we were on our way to our second munro over the ridge and its pinnacles

the path round the pinnacles for M.C.
or over the top the way we went

Time for a change and out for a drink /dinner to top of a fantastic day

A well earned pint at the end of the day ..........

Chilled out then back to the tent, next day it was Beinn Alligin on my birthday 1st June

The one looking down your descent nearly made me throw up - uuuuughhhh! Don't like the look of my path or the pinnacles! Anyway, great descriptive photos... on the one looking back up at your descent, whereabouts do you tackle the craggy bits above?

Nice report. You were at the Shiel Bridge campsite same couple of nights we were! Don't remember seeing you though. Got a bit soggy didn't it?

Not sure what gives me the willies more about Liathach, the pinnacles or that bypass path, both look terrifying.

Fantastic pictures! "Gazza looking out at the loch" is stunning - one of the best pictures I've seen in a long time. It would take some seriously mind-bending drugs to get me anywhere near that rock!!!!!

I went today for the first time, and the views literally took my breath away. What is the big hill behind the village called?
