Been wanting to do this walk for a while, and it didn't disappoint. Picked up a very rough Strachan at Loch Lomond after a wedding, and he did not stop moaning until he was back in the car and asleep! A strenuous day, but really varied and enjoyable. Not one to break in new boots, as my burning feet will atest to. Weather stayed dry, through the gorge and onto the ridge were tough, but the ridge itself a delight. We took the shortcut back (still can't figure out why that road goes so far up?). Ropeswings and quarry piles provided some amusement on the way round. Would do again on a clear day for better views down Loch Long and Awe
