Did know my latest challenge was going to be hard going but by the time I got to the end I hadn’t realised just how demanding. For the majority of the trip weather was on my side and the scenery stunning.

Day one was covering the East side from the Glenshee carpark taking on 6 Munro tops in one large route. The worst of the route is at the end where you have to walk up the steep A93 Braemar Road back up to the Ski Centre complex.

Whilst walking back I have never seen so much roadkill in my life, all in various states of decomposition. Sad side effect of having such a fast road running through the mountains.

After a lovely overnight wild camp with stunning sunset I headed off to tackle the West side. This let me complete a further 4 Munro’s taking my total for the trip to 11 of the blighters. Actually missed out on a couple more as it was getting late and even with the lower number I still didn’t get back to the car until late on the Monday evening.

Hope you enjoy my little adventure and if anything brings back memories for folks who have already done some of them.
