Weather reports were for a dry day with sunny spells and a slight wind.
When I reached the Bridge of orchy hotel you can imagine what I thought when I had to put the fog lights on, all the way to Glencoe ski centre. However the fog lifted and the views of the Highlands were here.
Parked by the large cairn and set off up the path. Stopped at the beallach for 5 minutes then headed up to Stob dubh. The mist was coming and going on the summit and I didn't get a good view of Ben Starav which I was hoping.
Headed back down and then up the slightly more rockier Stob coire rainaech
Fantastic views all round from here and the wind had picked up a bit clearing Stob Dubh for the afternoon walkers.
Met a Dutch couple at the beallach who were adamant they were only climbing one so i advised going up Stob dubh and they took the advice and headed up. I felt like going back up, but I've a walk tomorrow, ( meall ghaordaich maybe) so thought I'd save the energy for that.
Need to drag someone up the big ridge across the way as I dont fancy going it alone. In fact most of Glencoe and Fort William will probably have to wait until next spring as I'm heading to The cairngorms for the next month or two for hopefully some good climbs/ walks.
