Creach Bheinn & co

Have been rather busy over August and September leaving little time to get out. Was keen to try to fit something in and the forecast looked fairly decent but turned out to be a rather nondescript day on the weather front at least. Still, good to get out for a wander.

Nice sunrise on leaving home.



Managed to park off the road at NM985367 without blocking the passing place. Walked north for just under 1/2km then on to the hillside and northwards towards Beinn Bhreac. Go to the first cairn then continued NE until reaching the 726m summit.









Continued NE dropping down over Mam Hael before the ascent up to Creach Bheinn.









Walked on for a wee bit past the summit before truing and re5rtaing steps back down to the start of Abhainn Dalach. Contoured round SE then south after funding a gate in the deer fence to the summit of Beinn Molurgainn.













Had originally considered going on to Beinn Mheadhonach but instead decided just to head for home. Wanted to avoid the ravine so went SW along the ridge but descended just a little too quickly and had a rather boggy kilometre until getting to the bridge over the Eas na Gearr.





From here contoured round above the River Esragan and back to the car.

Great start to the day with that sunrise.

I don't really know this area (although I've driven around the local roads a lot) but that looked like an interesting route to stick in the memory bank.

Nice area over there pity your day was'nt as bright as the sunrise

Same here mega busy and only snatching the odd Corbett ....makes me wonder where i got the time to do all the Munros so quickly !!

Nice corner of Argyll round there. I didn't originally think these hills would be that interesting but they turned out to be great in the end .

That's a long break you've had so must indeed have felt good to get back on a hill. On the map this looks like it should yield good views but sometimes any view and any weather is fine. Still some enticing glimpses of surrounding hills and the seaward view over Lismore.
